A brilliant sunset illuminates a fleet of drifting clouds as they reflect in the mirror-calm waters of Oxbow Bend along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. At the center of the photograph, Skillet Glacier clings to the steep east face of 12,605' Mount Moran in the Teton Range. With its headwaters on the Yellowstone Plateau to the north, the Snake River pauses here in this nearly-abandoned meander before it continues its long journey to its confluence with the Columbia and finally to the Pacific Ocean west of Portland, Oregon. This horizontal photograph was captured with a 6x7 format camera. All photos in these fine art photo galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage.
