In this early-morning photograph, clouds float above snow-dappled Sunrise Peak in Broad's Fork Canyon in the Twin Peaks Wilderness Area in the Wasatch Mountains of northern Utah. Established in 1984, Twin Peaks Wilderness encompasses the serrated 11,000-foot high ridge between Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons and contains some of the most rugged high-mountain terrain in Utah. These peaks squeeze nearly 500" of snow from the passing storms in an average year and supply the Salt Lake Valley with the bulk of its water throughout the year. This horizontal photograph was captured with a 6x7 format camera. All photos in these fine art photo galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage.
