Standard Glass We use Tru Vue Brand Premium Clear framing glass as our standard glass. Anti-Reflective Glass For customers wishing to reduce the reflective properties of standard framing glass, we offer Tru Vue Brand AR Reflection-Free glass for an additional fee. In a process called magnetron sputtering, metal oxides are applied to the glass surface to substantially reduce the reflective properties associated with standard glass without the foggy look of traditional low-glare etched glass. 96% of the light falling on AR Reflection-Free glass is transmitted through to the print with less than 1% reflected back. (Our standard Premium Clear glass transmits 90% of the light while reflecting 8%.) The high level of light transmission of AR-Reflection-Free provides an unmatched level of clarity and a nearly invisible and distortion-free piece of glass, allowing the vibrant colors of your print to shine through. For those willing to pay the additional cost, we highly recommend this product. AR Reflection-Free glass blocks 78% of the Ultraviolet light. Anti-Reflective plus UV Protection We also offer Tru Vue Conservation Series Museum Glass which, in addition to providing the same anti-reflective qualities of AR Reflection-Free glass, blocks 97% of the Ultraviolet light. See the chart below for the additional cost. Print-Paper Considerations Traditional glossy photo paper has a very reflective finish and will create its own reflections when glazed with anti-reflective glass. In order to prevent this, we use Fuji Crystal Archive Matte paper on all orders requesting anti-reflective glass. This paper works together with anti-reflective glass to provide the ultimate viewing experience. Glass Size Both AR-Reflection Free and Museum Glass are available in dimensions up to 40" x 60" which allows them to be used for all print sizes except our panorama prints 20" x 60" and larger. Avoid using cleaning agents which contain ammonia as this will damage the anti-reflective coatings. It is best to clean this glass with a soft cotton cloth dampened with distilled water.
