Kayaking below a natural bridge in the recently scoured-out narrows along Mystery Canyon at a location once 100 feet below the surface of Lake Powell. As the reservoir dropped due to the regional drought which began in 2000, perhaps as much as 25 feet of accumulated reservoir sediment, which once smothered these narrows, was washed away by flash floods thus restoring this magnificent canyon to its pre-reservoir condition.
