San Juan Arm, Lake Powell, Utah    ID# UT-LP-AE-0106

Aerial view of the San Juan river as it empties into the muddy waters of Lake Powell with the reservoir level 95 feet below full-pool capacity due to the effects of a drought which began 4 years earlier in 1999. At this level, the reservoir has lost 50% of its total water volume. The delta of the San Juan River normally occurs 30 miles upstream of this point when the reservoir is full. Photo Date: June 10, 2003.
