| Glacier National Park, Montana. Beargrass blooms on the slopes along the Grinnell Lake Trail above Grinnell Lake in the Many Glacier region of Glacier National Park. This trail eventually ends at the foot of the Grinnell Glacier, tucked up under the shadow of the Continental Divide and a mere shadow of its former self when first photographed a century ago. This glacier and others within the park are quickly melting and are expected to disappear completely within the next twenty years. |
