Wildflowers reclaim the floor of Smith Fork Canyon in this photograph at a location 100 feet below the high-water mark of Lake Powell. Due to a severe drought which began in the year 2000, the waters of the reservoir retreated from this alcove just a few months before this image was captured in the spring of 2004. Within that short amount of time, a profusion of wildflowers spread across the barren mudflat. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Utah. This vertical photograph was captured using a 6x7 format camera. All photos in these fine art photo galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage.
