<p>Late afternoon sunlight reflecting off the soaring sandstone walls of Zion Canyon bathes this early-November scene with soft, warm light in this photograph of autumn-colored trees on the slopes beneath Angel's Landing. Due to the relatively low elevation of Zion Canyon, the trees here are some of the last in Utah to lose their leaves; usually during the first week of November. The exact date depends on precipitation and temperature patterns during the preceding summer season. This vertical photograph was captured with a 6x7 format camera.
