| Zion National Park, Utah. The occasional flow of water here along Clear Creek Canyon in Zion National Park provides enough water to support a healthy community of maple and Box Elder trees. In early November, these trees shed their brilliant red and yellow leaves into the normally dry creek bed. Over the eons, sporadic floods have polished and carried this limestone boulder far from its source high on the mesa tops.
