| Showy Fleabane, Utah. Located near 11,000 feet in Cascade Cirque in the Mount Timpanogos Wilderness Area of the Wasatch Mountains of northern Utah, the wildflowers in this high alpine basin normally reach their display peak during the last half of August. It is not unusual for these high glacial cirques and their wildflower meadows to be buried beneath the first snows of winter during the last part of September. The well-drained limestone soils on Mount Timpanogos provide some of the best wildflower displays in the American West. All photos in these galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage. |
