| Aspen, Colorado. In order to accentuate the brilliance of its leaves, try using the backlighting technique of hiding the sun behind the trunk of an aspen. This causes the already bright leaves to appear as if they glow from within. A wide-angle lens with its extreme depth of field helps maintain a sharp focus from the base of the tree to the tips of its branches. Whenever I'm walking through an aspen grove, I'm always on the lookout for that perfect cluster of trees to create an interesting composition.
