Aspen Trees (double exposure) Mount Nebo Wilderness, Utah    ID# 617-FC-38

Double Exposure Aspen Trees. An in-camera double exposure was used to capture these late-September aspen trees beneath Mount Nebo in the southern Wasatch Mountains of Utah. One view of these yellow aspen was captured before moving the camera to capture another view on the same piece of film. The resulting ghostly images of aspen trunks creates the look more of a painting than a photograph. Reaching higher into the sky than any other mountain in the Wasatch Range, the 11,928-foot summit of Mount Nebo overlooks vast aspen groves which blanket the eastern slopes of the mountain. The Mount Nebo Loop Road winds for miles through these aspen groves to an elevation of 9000' and provides dramatic sweeping views in all directions across this region of north-central Utah. All photos in these galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage.
