Mount Timpanogos from the Alpine Loop Road, Wasatch Mountains, Utah    ID# 617-UT-WS-62

Mount Timpanogos, Wasatch Mountains, Utah. The high glacial cirques and limestone ledges of 11,750-foot Mount Timpanogos resemble the Canadian Rockies more than any other mountain in the state of Utah. Many consider Timpanogos the most beautiful mountain in the state. That would be difficult to argue with during the height of the aspen colors with the first snows of winter frosting the ridgelines. Spectacular views of Timpanogos can be had all along the Alpine Loop Road as it winds through luxuriant aspen groves across the lower flanks of the mountain. Evidence of the many glaciers which poured off this peak only 20,000 years ago can be seen along the way as the road crosses many old glacial moraines at the base of the mountain. All photos in these galleries may be ordered as fine art framed prints or for stock photography usage.
