| Autumn maples, Zion National Park, Utah. The trail from the Temple of Sinewava to the entrance of the Virgin River Narrows in Zion National Park meanders beneath a canopy of Box Elder, Oak and Maple trees. The Virgin River fills the bottom of the canyon and provides an ample water supply for a profusion of plants and animals. This group of oak and maple trees stood out due to the complimentary colors of green and red in the leaves with the orange leaves complimenting the blue canyons walls. The normally-red Navajo sandstone rock was tinted a steely-blue by the sky high above the canyon walls.
