Bow Lake, Canada. Located near the summit of the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, Bow Lake provides a sublime venue for paddling below the spectacular peaks of the Continental Divide. Banff National Park is studded with turquoise-colored lakes nestled at the foot of massive glacier-clad mountains. The 125-mile long Icefields Parkway begins just south of here and ends in the town of Jasper after traversing some of the most spectacular high-mountain scenery in the world.
