Yoho National Park, Canada. The President Range towers above aquamarine-colored Emerald Lake in the British Columbia Mountains of Yoho National Park. Meltwater from glaciers high on these peaks provides a silt-laden flow of water into the lake which creates its brilliant hue. Located just west of the Continental Divide and Banff National Park, Yoho National Park takes it name from an indigenous word meaning awe and wonder; a fitting word to describe this lake and glacier-studded region in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Takakkaw Falls plunges a total of 1250 feet in two drops from a hanging valley just east of hear.
