Over the ages, flowing water has sculpted the soft Navajo Sandstone into one of the most beautiful slot canyons in the world. The more heavily-visited section of Antelope Canyon lies several miles upstream of this location a few miles southeast of the town of Page, Arizona. The lower reaches of Antelope Canyon were flooded by the waters of Lake Powell as the reservoir filled in the 1960s.
