| Antelope Canyon, Arizona. A hiker creates a silhouette in the Corkscrew section of Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. Over the ages, flowing water has sculpted the soft Navajo Sandstone into one of the most beautiful slot canyons in the world. The more heavily-visited section of Antelope Canyon lies several miles upstream of this location a few miles southeast of the town of Page, Arizona. The lower reaches of Antelope Canyon were flooded by the waters of Lake Powell as the reservoir filled in the 1960s. |
